PairUp User Agreement

Effective Date: March 12, 2026

Welcome to PairUp! This User Agreement ("Agreement") governs your access to and use of the PairUp mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PairUp, you confirm that you:

Are at least 18 years of age
Have the legal capacity to enter into this binding agreement
Agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement
Have read and understood our Privacy Policy

2. Account Registration and Security

To use PairUp, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
Ensuring your profile information is accurate and up-to-date

Important: You may not create multiple accounts or use another person's account without permission. Violation may result in account termination.

3. Acceptable Use

When using PairUp, you agree to:

Treat other users with respect and kindness
Be honest and authentic in your profile and interactions
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes

3.1 Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
Share inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content
Violate others' privacy or intellectual property rights
Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the Service
Engage in commercial solicitation or spam
Impersonate any person or entity

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on PairUp. However, by posting content, you grant us:

A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content
The right to moderate, remove, or restrict content that violates this Agreement

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to the content you post and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

5. Matching and Communication

PairUp facilitates connections between users through matching algorithms. We do not:

Guarantee that you will find a match or relationship
Conduct background checks or verify user identities
Assume responsibility for user interactions or meetings

        Safety First: Exercise caution when meeting users in person. Meet in public places, inform friends or family, and trust your instincts.
    

6. Virtual Currency and Purchases

PairUp may offer virtual currency (coins) and premium features for purchase. You understand that:

Virtual currency has no real-world value and is non-refundable
Purchases are final and cannot be transferred between accounts
We may modify pricing, features, or offerings at any time
Unused virtual currency may expire if your account is inactive

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of PairUp, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by PairUp and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using PairUp, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:

Violation of this Agreement
Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities
Extended period of inactivity
Any reason at our sole discretion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

PairUp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be:

Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Free from viruses or harmful components
Accurate, reliable, or complete

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, PairUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PairUp, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of this Agreement
Your violation of any rights of another party
Content you post on the platform

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this Agreement or use of the Service shall be resolved through:

Good faith negotiation between the parties
Binding arbitration if negotiation fails
Governed by the laws of the State of California, USA

13. Changes to This Agreement

We may modify this Agreement at any time. We will notify you of material changes through:

In-app notifications
Email to your registered address
Updated "Effective Date" at the top of this Agreement

Your continued use of PairUp after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Agreement.

14. General Provisions

Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect
Entire Agreement: This Agreement and Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and PairUp
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver
Assignment: You may not assign your rights; we may assign ours without restriction
